Lithium Upgrades &
Custom Electrical Systems

From lithium battery upgrades to fully custom charge and power systems — professional marine electrical work built to ABYC standards.

What We Do

Marine Electrical Services

Modern power systems for serious boaters. We design, install, and service everything from simple repairs to fully custom lithium and solar setups.

Lithium Battery Upgrades

Upgrade your vessel to modern lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology. Lithium batteries offer significantly more usable capacity, faster charging, longer lifespan, and reduced weight compared to traditional lead-acid systems.

  • LiFePO4 battery bank installation
  • Battery management system (BMS) setup
  • House & start battery configurations
  • Weight reduction & capacity upgrades
  • Drop-in & custom lithium solutions
  • System monitoring & display integration

Custom Charge Systems

Properly engineered charging systems are critical to battery health and reliability. We design and install complete charge management solutions tailored to your vessel's power demands and usage profile.

  • Multi-stage smart chargers
  • DC-to-DC chargers (alternator isolation)
  • Shore power charging systems
  • Solar charge controller integration
  • Alternator upgrades & regulators
  • Charging system diagnostics & repair

Custom Battery Systems

Every vessel has unique power requirements. We design complete battery systems from the ground up — sizing, placement, wiring, and protection — built to handle the demands of Pacific Northwest cruising.

  • System load analysis & sizing
  • Custom battery bank design
  • Bus bar & distribution systems
  • Battery switch & combiner wiring
  • Fusing & overcurrent protection
  • Battery monitoring & shunt installation

Solar & Renewable Energy

Reduce your dependence on shore power and generators with a professionally installed solar system. We size and install solar panels, controllers, and integrate them seamlessly with your existing electrical system.

  • Solar panel selection & installation
  • MPPT charge controller setup
  • Flexible & rigid panel mounting
  • Integration with lithium systems
  • System monitoring & optimization
  • Wind generator integration

Electrical Diagnostics & Repair

Electrical gremlins can be some of the most frustrating problems on a boat. Our technicians use professional diagnostic tools to trace faults, repair wiring, and restore reliable electrical operation.

  • Fault finding & troubleshooting
  • Wiring repair & replacement
  • Corrosion remediation
  • Panel & breaker service
  • Bilge pump & safety systems
  • ABYC-compliant installations

Shore Power & Inverters

Reliable shore power connections and inverter systems keep your vessel comfortable at the dock and underway. We install, service, and upgrade shore power inlets, inverters, and inverter/charger combos.

  • Shore power inlet installation
  • Inverter & inverter/charger install
  • Galvanic isolator installation
  • Power management systems
  • 120V & 240V AC wiring
  • Generator integration & transfer switching
Why Upgrade

The Case for Lithium

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries have transformed what's possible on a cruising boat. More power, less weight, faster charging, and a lifespan that outlasts most vessels. We've done dozens of lithium upgrades and know how to do them right.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is lithium worth the upgrade?

For most liveaboards and serious cruisers, yes. Lithium batteries offer 2–3× more usable capacity, charge much faster, last 3–5× longer, and weigh significantly less. The upfront cost is higher but the long-term value is excellent.

Can you integrate lithium with my existing alternator?

Yes, but it requires a DC-to-DC charger or an external alternator regulator to protect your alternator from the high charge acceptance of lithium batteries. We handle this as part of every lithium installation.

Do you follow ABYC electrical standards?

Absolutely. All of our electrical work follows ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards — the marine industry benchmark for safe, reliable electrical installations.
